The 2018 Shifting Gears Rally has the honor of hosting a dinner auction to raise funds and awareness for its beneficiary partner, the Northern California chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, funding scientific research, and providing vital resources and aid to those affected by suicide. All funds contributed on behalf of this event will go directly to supporting these initiatives in and around Marin County.

Shifting Gears, founded by Marin County car enthusiast Charles Goodman, is an annual road rally comprised of a group of local and international car enthusiasts and benefiting a different charity each year. Previous beneficiary partners have included the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation, Beyond Differences, Roots of Peace, and Hospice by the Bay. This year, Shifting Gears is proud to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
